Marillier is one sevenwaterrs my favorite authors and specifically the Sevenwaters trilogy is one of her best. I’ve said it before, but it’s great to see an effort at some diversity in stories that are set in ancient Ireland. Clodagh has other worries, however, with the prospect of parting with her twin sister, and her mother’s unexpected and potentially dangerous pregnancy.
We see her growth both during times of magic, but also during times of difficulty in everyday life. I would recommend this to diehard sevebwaters of Sevenwaters, but I myself will not be reading it again. The relation between Clodagh and Deirdre follows a very similar pattern.

I started out liking this book. ClodaghCathalMac Dara. On her way, she runs straight into Cathal. For example, do you research?
